"Awarding Entity Agency: Amurrio City Council. Department: Area of Agriculture, Livestock and Forestry, and Area of Environment. Place and date of celebration: The competition will take place on September 21, 2025 in Amurrio. Regulatory regulations: Ordinance regulating the Artzain eguna Competitions, published in BOTHA number 87, of August 4, 2025. Requirements to request the subsidy and how to accredit them: The examination of the bases, information and documentation can be carried out in the Agriculture, Livestock and Forestry Area, or in the Environment Area of the Amurrio City Council, located in Plaza Juan Urrutia s/n, postal code 01470, with telephone number 945891161 extension 183, from the following day. on the date of publication of the call in the BOTHA and until September 12, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Monday to Friday. Competent bodies for the investigation and resolution of the procedure: The competent body for the organization and investigation of the procedure will be a Commission composed of the mayor and the Natural Environment Technician of the Amurrio City Council. The competent body to resolve will be the Mayor's Office of the Amurrio City Council or body. to whom it delegates. "Object: It is a cheese contest made with raw latxa sheep milk from the participant's own farm, in which the three best cheeses in terms of flavor, texture and appearance are awarded. Conditions: The cheeses to be submitted to the contest must be made with raw latxa sheep milk from the participating shepherd's own farm. They will have a minimum maturation of 2 months. In those cases in which two or more shepherds participate in the same vat to make their cheeses, they will present only one cheese in the name of the cooperative or association, a single cheese per vat. It is necessary to be a shepherd from Alava.
