“BASES FOR AID FOR BIRTH AND ADOPTION - “BABY CHECK 2026” Article 1. Object of the call “BABY CHECK 2026”. These rules regulate the procedure under a public concurrence regime, for reasons of social interest, according to article 22, section c) of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General of Subsidies, as well as for that indicated in art. 58 et seq. of the same legal text. This call called “Aid for births and adoptions – Baby Check 2026”, has as its fundamental objectives: Encourage births or adoptions in the municipality of Agullent, help families with part of the expenses derived from new members of the family unit and are directly linked to the promotion and revitalization of local commerce as the aid can be used exclusively in Agullent businesses and establishments. 2. Legal basis of the aid. The aid granted will be of a subsidy nature and will be governed by Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies; and Royal Decree 887/2006, of July 21, which approves the Regulation of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies. They will be on a competitive basis. Article 3. Budgetary credit. The budget allocated to finance this call will be €4,200.00, charged to the corresponding budget item 231 48001, of the budget of the Agullent City Council. The recognition of the obligation and the payment of the aid will be made from the budget for the 2026 financial year. Article 4. Amount of the aid. for the birth or adoption of a child in the period between January 1 and December 15, 2026, both included. Article 5. Recipients of the aid The recipients, applicants for the aid, may be the parents or adopters of the child, holders of the Family Book in which their birth or adoption is recorded.
