EXTRACT FROM THE CALL FOR GRANTS FOR LANGUAGE LEARNING. Mayor's Resolution 34-2026 dated February 12, 2026, which calls for subsidies for language learning for the 2025-2026 academic year, through the competitive competition procedure. In accordance with the provisions of articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies, the extract of the call is published, the full text of which can be consulted in the National Subsidies Database (www.infosubvenciones.es). First. - Beneficiaries. Beneficiaries will be people over 16 years of age registered in the municipality, with a minimum of one year experience, who study any language other than their mother tongue. This age must be reached at the beginning of the course that is the subject of the subsidy and seniority must be reached at the end of the application submission period. Second. – Purpose Expenses derived from registration for learning any language, including Spanish for foreigners, may be subsidized. Travel expenses, as well as maintenance and accommodation in the case of boarding schools, are excluded. Each person can apply for as many scholarships as there are courses and internships they take, however, each course will only be subsidized once. Third. - Regulatory bases The regulatory bases for the granting of these subsidies were approved in a Plenary Session on October 26, 2020 and published in BOTHA No. 2/2021 of January 8. Room. - Amount of aid. Up to 100 percent of the tuition fee in the case of Basque studies, with a maximum of 200 euros. Up to 75 percent of the registration fee in the case of the rest of the languages, with a maximum of 200 euros. The maximum limit of 200 euros will not be applicable in the event that the appropriate awards have been made and the budget item is not exhausted. In this case, the remaining amount will be distributed proportionally among the applications that meet all the requirements, always without exceeding 100 percent of the tuition price in the case of Basque studies or 75 percent of the tuition price in the rest of the languages. On the contrary, if the credit allocated is insufficient to meet all the applications submitted, the amount of the subsidy will be reduced proportionally to be able to meet them all. Fifth. - Application submission deadline. Applications will be formulated in the model that appears as Annex to the bases, providing the documentation required therein, ending the submission period on October 1, 2026. Sixth. - Documents to attach to the application: Proof of the center where the course was taken, indicating: course started and course completed, number of total hours of the course and number of hours taken by the student (minimum 80 percent attendance), start and end dates of the course and total cost of the course. In the case of boarding schools, the teaching expenses must be broken down from those of maintenance and accommodation. Exceptionally, and subject to evaluation by the Plenary Session, an attendance percentage of less than 80 percent may be admitted in the event of a health alarm. Photocopy of the registration and proof of effective payment thereof.
