Official description of the call
First.- Beneficiaries. Students enrolled in a doctoral program at the University of La Laguna during the current academic year may be beneficiaries. Second.- Object. The purpose of this call is to promote the mobility of students from the University of La Laguna within the framework of action KA-171 of the Erasmus+ Program so that they can carry out an internship in partner universities in third countries not associated with the program during the year 2026. This subsidy is not initially included in the Strategic Subsidy Plan of the University of La Laguna for the year 2026, approved by Resolution of the Rector of December 23, 2025, given that initially it was expected that the call would be published by the coordinating university (University of Cádiz). However, after jointly assessing the participating Canarian universities (University of La Laguna and University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria) that it is more appropriate to manage it directly from each institution, its inclusion in the aforementioned Strategic Plan has been communicated. This subsidy contributes to promoting academic mobility and international cooperation, strengthening institutional ties with universities and research centers in non-EU countries. Likewise, it is expected that these stays will generate a positive impact on the academic production of the University of La Laguna, promoting the exchange of knowledge and good practices in various areas of knowledge. Third.- Regulatory bases. Resolution 07/2026 of the Vice-Rector for Internationalization and Cooperation, which calls for extra-EU mobility aid for doctoral students, within the framework of the Erasmus+ KA171 program, within the LIDERAFRICA consortium, in the modality of Student Mobility for Trainneeship (SMT). Fourth.- Amount The financing for these mobility aids comes from SEPIE funds. The total amount of the expense is authorized for a maximum of 23,793.60 euros, charged to the budget application 1804152508 423CR 48902. - Individual aid: The amount of aid amounts to €700.00 per month (up to a maximum of 5 months of stay). - Travel aid: This aid is determined based on the distance between the University of La Laguna and the city where the destination university is located, calculated through the European Commission tool whose link is the following: http://ec.europa.eu/programmes/erasmus-plus/resources/distance-calculator The following table shows the amounts based on the distance intervals: Distances Amount Between 100 and 499 km 211 EUR per participant Between 500 and 1999 km 309 EUR per participant Between 2000 and 2999 km 395 EUR per participant Between 3000 and 3999 km 580 EUR per participant Between 4000 and 7999 km 1,188 EUR per participant 8000 km or more: 1,735 EUR per participant - Support for inclusion: In case of accreditation and validation of being an applicant with fewer opportunities (base Third point 7), the applicant will receive a complementary amount of €250 per month to the individual aid. Fifth.- Deadline for submitting applications The deadline for submitting applications will be 10 business days from the day following the publication of this extract in the Official Gazette of the Canary Islands. Sixth.- Other data.
