Official description of the call
First. Object. Through this Decree, a research scholarship is convened on a competitive basis in the documentary collections of the Municipal Technical Library of Madrid for the year 2026. This scholarship is intended to contribute to the training of professionals who have recently completed their higher studies in the disciplines included in article 5.1.b) through support and mentoring in the development of a research project in the collections of the Municipal Technical Library of Madrid. Second. Beneficiaries. To be able to participate in this call, applicants must meet the following requirements: a) Hold Spanish nationality or, otherwise, if the applicant comes from a country in which Spanish is not the mother language, have knowledge of the Spanish language equivalent to, at least, a B2 of the Common European Framework of reference. If, during the interview, the assessment committee has doubts about compliance with this requirement, it may request documentary accreditation. b) Possess an official university degree, issued in the 2019/2020 academic year or a later one, by a Spanish university or approved by the Ministry of Education and Professional Training, in Social and Legal Sciences (includes, among others, titles in Political Science and Public Administration, Political Science and Public Management, Political Sciences, Law, Management and Public Administration, Open Degree in Social Sciences and Humanities, History and Politics, Information and Documentation, International Relations, Journalism, Sociology) or Arts and Humanities (includes, among other titles, Philosophy, History, Humanities). Those qualifications will be accepted that, even though they have a different name from the previous ones, have a similar educational content so that the suitability of the curricular profile for the functions to be developed through the scholarship is guaranteed. Applicants may not be subject to any of the prohibitions provided for in article 13 of Law 38/2003, of November 17, and in article 15 of the Ordinance of General Regulatory Bases for the granting of subsidies by the Madrid City Council and its Public Bodies, approved by the Plenary Session of October 30, 2013. Nor may they have pending payment of obligations for reimbursement of subsidies in the terms established in the article. 21 of the Regulation of the aforementioned Law 38/2003, of November 17, approved by Royal Decree 887/2006, of July 21. Third. Applicable regulations. This call will be governed, in general, by the provisions of: Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies; Royal Decree 887/2006, of July 21, which approves the Regulations of the aforementioned Law; the Ordinance of General Regulatory Bases for the granting of subsidies by the Madrid City Council and its Public Bodies approved on October 30, 2013; and, finally, in all those extremes not provided for in the aforementioned legislation, Law 39/2015, of October 1 and Law 40/2015, of October 1 or any other regulatory provision that, due to its nature, could be applicable, will govern, on a supplementary basis. Room. Amount. The amount of the scholarship will be 6,000.00 euros, 1,500.00 euros corresponding to each of the four months of work. The corresponding personal income tax and Social Security withholdings will be made from this amount at the time of payment. Fifth. Application submission deadline. The deadline for submitting applications will be 15 business days from the day following the day on which the announcement of the extract of this call is published in the Official Gazette of the Community of Madrid. Sixth. Duration. The duration of the scholarship will be four uninterrupted months. The enjoyment period will begin on the first calendar day of the month following the publication of the concession decree on the electronic headquarters. Seventh. Application. Together with the application form, the following technical documentation must be submitted: a) Curriculum vitae, with a maximum length of 3 pages in DIN A4 format. The following will be exclusively specified: official academic titles; postdoctoral fellowships and participation in research projects on topics related to the fellowship; academic publications on topics related to scholarship; experience
