Official description of the call

First. Beneficiaries. The following may be beneficiaries of these subsidies: -For learning Basque: Individuals who meet the following requirements: a) Be registered in the municipality of Zigoitia at the beginning of the course and maintain said registration until the end of the course. b) Be 16 years old at the time of registration in the course. c) Be enrolled in one of the learning centers recognized by the Adult Literacy and Re-Euskaldunization Institute (HABE) or in Udako Euskal Unibertsitatea (UEU). d) Have a minimum attendance of 80 percent of the hours taught. -For projects in favor of Basque that promote the knowledge and learning of Basque: Non-profit entities that promote the promotion of Basque, although their main purposes are not exclusively these, and whose scope of action has an impact on the municipality of Zigoitia even if they do not have their headquarters in said municipality. Non-profit entities with headquarters in Zigoitia will be required to register in the Municipal Registry of Associations of Zigoitia, while those with headquarters outside Zigoitia will be required to register in the General Registry of Associations of the Basque Country or in the Registry of Sports Entities of the Basque Country. Travel expenses and expenses for subsistence and accommodation in any type of course are excluded. -Expenses derived from the organization of projects in favor of Basque that enhance the knowledge and learning of Basque developed in the year 2026. Third. Regulatory bases The regulatory bases for the granting of these subsidies are contained in the specific Ordinance regulating the bases of subsidies to cover the learning of Basque and projects that promote the knowledge and learning of Basque approved on April 20, 2016, and published in the Official Gazette of the Historical Territory of Álava No. 64, dated June 6, 2016. The procedure for the granting of These subsidies will be on a competitive basis, by comparing the applications submitted, in order to establish a priority between them in accordance with the evaluation criteria established in this call, awarding, with the limit set in the following point, those that have obtained the highest evaluation in application of the aforementioned criteria. Amount of aid The financing of the aid granted as a result of the applications submitted in accordance with this call will be charged to the budget application 335,480,000 as “Basque learning scholarships” of the budget for the year 2026. The maximum total amount of aid will be the amount of the credit established in the budget application 335,480,000 in accordance with the extension of the Zigoitia City Council Budget for the year 2025 to January 1, 2026, specifically, 6,000 euros.
