Aid to finance sociocultural and sports initiatives developed by associations, sports clubs and/or individuals in 2026

Official description of the call

Purpose of the call: Contribute to the development of programs and activities of a sociocultural and sporting nature that take place at the local level or are considered of interest to the municipality and complement municipal intervention during the year 2026. Eligible areas: 1. Sociocultural promotion. - Aid for sociocultural activities (traditional events, leisure and free time workshops, conferences and monographic cycles, as well as any other participatory sociocultural activity or action). 2. Sports promotion. - Aid for sports activities (competitions, sports marches, championships, as well as any other activity related to sports). The following will not be eligible for subsidies: Specific activities that are subsidized through aid for patron saint festivals, agreements, etc. Activities that involve direct or indirect discrimination based on sex. Expenses incurred for meals or food products, unless said products are used directly to supply the sporting activity and as long as it is duly justified. The acquisition of movable and immovable property and consumable office supplies, except for that material that is strictly necessary for the development of the activity that is the subject of the subsidy, after technical assessment of its need. Expenses derived from operation (property rental, personal payroll, fuel......). Beneficiaries: 1.- Non-profit sports associations and clubs, duly registered based on Law 7/2007 of June 22 on Associations of the Basque Country, which are among the following: Sports associations and clubs with strictly municipal headquarters and scope that develop programs or activities. Sports associations and clubs that, even though they are not based in the municipality, undertake social, cultural, or sports programs that have municipal implementation, or an area of ​​​​action adjacent to the municipality and have a minimum number of 3 or more local members. 2.- Natural persons registered in the municipality of San Millán who carry out activities that are in the situation that legitimizes the concession. 3.- Groups of natural persons registered in the municipality, which, although lacking legal personality, have a significant number of people registered in the municipality, and who can carry out projects or activities that are subject to subsidy, complement municipal activity and are considered of public and social interest for the municipality. Regulatory bases: Approved by the Full City Council of San Millán in a session held on March 10, 2026. Amount of aid: The budget items to which the subsidies are allocated are item 231,481,000 (retiree club) in the amount of 2,672.25 euros, item 334,482,000 (cultural subsidies) in the amount of 1,710.00 euros, item 341,482,002 (subsidies for sports activities) in the amount of 4,810.00 euros. Application submission period: The application submission period will end on July 24, 2026.
