1.- PURPOSE OF THE CALL The convening institution intends to promote and encourage plastic creation through the call for this Award, within the objectives of its Culture Area, committed to the promotion and dissemination of cultural activity. 2.- RECIPIENTS This call is aimed at artists of any nationality or residence, over 18 years of age, as long as they are up to date with payments with Social Security, the Treasury and the Provincial Council of Cáceres. 3.- FORM OF PRESENTATION Up to two works may be submitted to the competition, which may not have been previously awarded in other competitions. Participants will have complete thematic freedom, all techniques and procedures being admitted, as well as all aesthetic trends or trends, with the limitations established in the fourth base. The works presented must be made of definitive material and be original, they must be uploaded digitally using a photograph in JPG format with a maximum size of 3MB per image, or a video in MP4 format with a maximum size of 25MB. 4.- DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION OF WORKS The deadline for participation in the XXIX “Sala El Brocense” Plastic Arts Award begins the day following the publication of the extract of this call in the BOP, and ends on October 16, 2026. The Provincial Council of Cáceres reserves the right to extend these deadlines if it deems it appropriate. 5.- SELECTION OF THE WORKS From the group of works presented, a Jury designated for this purpose, made up of people of recognized prestige in the artistic world and especially qualified, will carry out a selection of those, which will be those that compete for the Prize and that will form part of the exhibition that will be held to commemorate it in the Sala el Brocense, at the inauguration of which the Jury will announce the winning works. 6.- PRIZES The prize has a total endowment of €25,000.00, which will be financed from budget application number 5.3340.48701 (Competitions and awards) for the financial year 2026. The following prizes will be awarded: • A First Prize of €10,000 • A Second Prize of €6,000 • A Third Prize of €4,000 • Two Fourth Prizes of €2,500 The amount of the prizes will be subject to current tax legislation, with legally established withholdings being made on such amounts. All taxes levied on the receipt of the prizes will be the responsibility of the winners. The awarded works will become the property of the Provincial Council of Cáceres and will become part of its Collection. 7.- SHIPPING AND WITHDRAWAL OF SELECTED WORKS The selected artists must send the original work to the following address: Sala de Arte ElBrocense. C/ San Antón, 17. 10003 CÁCERES (Hours: Monday to Saturday, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.). The deadline for sending the works will be communicated to the artists at the time they are notified of the selection of their work. Under no circumstances will correspondence be maintained regarding the unselected works. Unpurchased works must be removed within a maximum period of 30 days from the closing day of the exhibition. Once this period has passed, the Provincial Council of Cáceres will not be responsible for the works under any circumstances and may freely dispose of those not removed in the manner it deems appropriate.
