1. Object and purpose Subsidies under a competitive competition regime for town councils in the Girona district that do not have a public library or that do not have one adequate according to the parameters established in the Public Reading Map of Catalonia and the standards of the Generalitat of Catalonia. The subsidies are intended to finance: - The development of municipal library plans (only for municipalities of more than 30,000 inhabitants that do not have them). - The drafting of basic or executive projects for construction, expansion, renovation or rehabilitation of public libraries. - The drafting of furniture and/or signage projects for new libraries, as long as they are not included in the executive project. These subsidies are regulated in accordance with the specific regulatory bases approved by the Plenary of the Provincial Council in the session of March 17, 2026 and published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Girona (BOPG) number 59, of March 26, 2026.
