Object and scope of application The object of this document is to call for the granting of subsidies for script writing and the development and preparation of audiovisual works projects carried out between the months of January 2023 and October 2024, as a means of supporting the audiovisual sector within the jurisdiction of the Generalitat, stimulating the writing of scripts and the development and preparation of audiovisual works, whether based on an original idea or an adaptation, with the aim of encourage activities aimed at audiovisual production in the Valencian Community. The following types of aid are distinguished: 1st. Screenwriting aids and large-budget international screenwriting aids: a. Screenplay projects for fictional works, including miniseries. b. Script projects for documentaries. c. Script projects for animation works. 2nd. Aid for the development and preparation of audiovisual projects: a. Fiction works projects, including miniseries. b. Documentary works projects. c. Animation works projects. Third. Persons and entities benefiting from the aid. Legally constituted companies that enjoy legal capacity and to operate in the territory of the Valencian Community and natural persons with an administrative neighborhood in any of its municipalities, as well as nationals of any country of the European Union who are habitual residents in it (registered as residents for at least one year), who carry out the work of writing a script for an audiovisual work, may obtain the status of beneficiary of this aid. However, the granting of the aid provided for in this order is conditional on the existence of adequate and sufficient credit for this in the IVC budgets for 2024. Fifth. Form and deadline for submitting applications The deadline for submitting applications will be 30 business days from the day following the publication of this call in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat Valenciana.
