Official description of the call
Announcement of the Most Excellent Provincial Council of Valencia regarding the decree of the President No. 1683 of February 7, 2024, which approves the call for the “Bernat Capó Award for Research and Dissemination of Popular Valencian Culture” of the Provincial Council of Valencia for the year 2024. In accordance with the provisions of articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of the Law 38/2003, of November 17, 2003 General Subsidies, the extract of the call is published, the full text of which can be consulted in the National Subsidies Database First.- Object and purpose The Valencia Museum of Ethnology and the Culture Area of the Diputación de València, with the aim of promoting research and the dissemination of works linked to the study of popular culture, announce the Bernat Capó Prize for Research and Dissemination of Valencian Popular Culture of the Provincial Council of Valencia for the year 2024 in an open competitive regime. The rules of the competition appear in the decree of the president of the Provincial Council of Valencia No. 1683, dated February 7, 2024, the text of which can be consulted in the National Subsidies Database. Second.- Regulatory bases The General Subsidies Ordinance (OGS) of the Provincial Council of Valencia, approved by Plenary agreement of March 28, 2017 and published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Valencia (BOP) no. 101, of May 29, 2017. modified by agreements of the Plenary of June 20, 2017 (BOP no. 174 of September 8, 2017), of July 21, 2020 (BOP no. 185 of September 24, 2020) and of March 28, 2023 (BOP No. 107, June 5, 2023). Third.- Requirements to participate All people who have reached the age of 18 on the day the deadline for submitting works ends may participate. Those people who have won the Bernat Capó Prize for Research and Dissemination of Popular Culture in the last five years will not be able to participate. Fourth.- Amount of the prize The amount of the prize amounts to 6,000 euros, which will be paid from the budget application 301.33302.48100 of the Expenditure Budget of the Provincial Council of Valencia for 2024. Fifth.- Deadline for submitting applications The deadline for submitting the works will begin on the day following the publication of the extract of the call in the BOP, and will end on July 12, 2024. Applications will be submitted by some of the following means: 1) At the Electronic Headquarters of the Diputació de València http://www.sede.dival.es/ (with electronic certificate and signature) which will have a specific procedure. Non-residents in Spanish territory can manage their electronic certificate issued by the FNMT (http://www.fnmt.es/en/ceres) through the Spanish Consular Offices abroad. 2) In the General Registry of the Diputació de València (Palacio de la Batlia, carrer del Serrans, no. 2, 46003 València). 3) In the places determined by article 16 of Law 39/2015 of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations. Along with the applications, the following will be attached: - The work that is eligible for the award under the conditions indicated in the sixth basis of the call. - Photocopy of ID, passport or any other legally accepted identification document. - A responsible declaration, a model that is attached and accompanies the application, indicating that the work is original and unpublished and that it is free of any publishing commitment and is not pending resolution in any other literary contest. Sixth.- Acceptance of the prize (justification). Before the final proposal for awarding the prize, the winner will be obliged to comply with the provisions of the Eleventh Base of the call.
