The 52nd “Villa de Fuente Álamo de Murcia” International Painting Competition is being called for the year 2024 in the form of concession under a competitive competition regime, with the aim of promoting, rewarding and disseminating contemporary pictorial creation. All artists of legal age of any nationality may attend this call. Second. – Characteristics of the works. - Each artist may only compete with a single work that has not been awarded in any other competition. - The theme and technique will be free choice. - The measurements of the works may not exceed 200 cm on the longest side or be less than 100 cm on the shortest side. If any of the works are composed of different parts (diptychs, triptychs, etc.), all of them will be counted for the purposes of maximum dimensions. - The works will be presented unframed, mounted on a frame or protected with a wooden strip. Works with special features must be accompanied by assembly instructions. Third. -Deadline for submitting applications. - The application submission period will begin on March 23, 2024 and will end on May 26, 2024. Fourth.- Awards. The following prizes will be awarded: PRIZE: “Villa de Fuente Álamo de Murcia Award”, awarded by the Fuente Álamo de Murcia City Council with an amount of €10,000 PRIZE: “Círculo Medina Award”, awarded by the Fuente Álamo de Murcia City Council with an amount of €6,000
