Official description of the call
On March 26, 2024, the Local Government Board of the Quart de Poblet City Council approved the Regulatory Bases of the Q-ART Festival, in accordance with the provisions of art. 9.2 of Law 38/2003 of November 17, General Subsidies. By agreement of the Local Government Board dated April 11, 2024, the call for the Q-ART 2024 Festival was approved. 1.- Purpose of the call. Promote, reward and disseminate artistic creation in the following modalities: 1.1. Plastic Arts Competition (painting, sculpture and engraving) 1.2. Urban Art Competition. 1.3. Award for Contemporary Artistic Creation. 1.4. Outdoor Painting Contest. 2.- Requirements. People born or residing in the Valencian Community may participate. Rest of the requirements, consult the bases of each modality. 3.- Budget credit. The amount allocated for the prizes of this call amounts to €8,500 and will be paid from the credit approved in budget item 334-489.00 of the current Municipal Budget, as set out in the 2024 Strategic Subsidy Plan of the Quart de Poblet City Council. 4.- Instructing body. The instructing body of this call is the Department of Culture of the Quart de Poblet City Council. 5.- Amount of prizes and assessment criteria. 5.1. Plastic Arts Contest. - Painting Prize: €1,500 and trophy. - Sculpture Prize: €1,800 and trophy. - Engraved Prize: €700 and trophy. 5.2. Urban Art Competition. - First prize: €700 and trophy. - Three second prizes of 400 euros each and a trophy. 5.3. Award for Contemporary Artistic Creation. - Prize: €1,000 and trophy. 5.4. Outdoor Painting Contest. - First prize: prize worth €600 and trophy. - Second prize: prize worth €400 and trophy. - Third prize: prize worth €300 and trophy. - Young Award(*): prize worth €300 and trophy. * People between 12 and 30 years of age on the day of the contest. Accésits and gifts granted by other entities: The Limne Foundation (NaturTuria Project) will deliver vouchers for painting materials to encourage participation in the Turia River environment. Local awards(**): The Friends of the Plastic Arts association will award a total of 300 euros for second prizes and vouchers for painting materials to encourage the local participation of children and adults in the Outdoor Painting Contest. The board of directors of the entity will agree on the distribution of this prize pool based on the number of participants. (**)Persons residing in Quart de Poblet or belonging to any association in the municipality. Cash prizes will be subject to the corresponding income tax withholdings. Plastic Arts Competition (painting, sculpture and engraving) The reception of the works will take place in person at the Quart de Poblet Culture House, located at Plaça Valldecabres, 19. 46930Quart de Poblet. The deadline for the presentation of works is from June 3 to 21, 2024. 6.2. Urban Art Competition. Proposals will be submitted via email: cultura@quartdepoblet.es The deadline for submitting proposals is from June 3 to 21, 2024. The execution of the works will take place on Sunday, September 22, 2024. 6.3. Award for Contemporary Artistic Creation. Proposals will be submitted via email: cultura@quartdepoblet.es The deadline for submitting proposals is June 3 to 21, 2024. 6.4. Outdoor Painting Contest. The registration of participants and the sealing of frames will take place on September 22, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., in the area of the Enric Valor Municipal Library.
