Official description of the call
First. Beneficiaries Aid intended for people over 65 years of age (Line 1) Natural persons who meet the following requirements may be beneficiaries of the aid: a) People who are 65 years of age or older on the date of submission of the application and who are registered in a municipality of Menorca. b) That the income of the beneficiary and his or her spouse or person linked by a similar emotional relationship to the spouse, if applicable, will not exceed in the 2022 financial year the annual income limit detailed in the bases of the call. For the purposes of this call, the total income of both members of the cohabiting couple will be counted, whether declared jointly or individually. Aid for people with recognized disabilities (Line 2) Natural persons who meet the following requirements may be beneficiaries of the aid: a) Be registered in a municipality of Menorca on the date of submission of the application. b) Be less than 65 years old and have a recognized degree of disability equal to or greater than 33% (or be a beneficiary of a Social Security pension for permanent total, absolute or severe disability, or a pensioner from passive classes who have a recognized retirement or retirement pension for permanent disability for service in accordance with article 4 of Royal Legislative Decree 1/2013, of November 29, which approves the Consolidated Text of the General Law on the Rights of People with Disabilities and its social inclusion), in force at the time of having incurred the expense that is the object of the aid. c) That the income of the beneficiary and his or her spouse or person linked by a similar emotional relationship to the marital one, if applicable, or of their economic unit of cohabitation in the case of minor beneficiaries, will not exceed in the 2022 financial year the annual income limits detailed in the bases of the call. For the purposes of this call, when the applicant is of legal age, the income of the applicant and his/her spouse or cohabiting partner, if applicable, will be taken into account. Second. Purpose Regarding people over 65 years of age, the purpose of the aid is to improve the quality of life and promote their social well-being. As for people with a recognized disability, the objective is to improve the quality of life and promote the social well-being of people with recognized physical, mental and/or sensory disabilities who are under 65 years of age. Third. Regulatory bases This call is governed by the bases approved by the Executive Council of the Island Council of Menorca in an ordinary session on 05/06/2024. Room. Amount The maximum overall amount of the call is €250,000 (two hundred and fifty thousand euros), according to the following breakdown: Aid lines Amount Line 1. Aid to people over 65 years of age 125,000 euros Line 2. Aid to people with disabilities 125,000 euros Fifth. Deadline for submitting applications The deadline for submitting applications is one month from the day following the publication of the announcement of the call in the Official Gazette of the Balearic Islands. Sixth. Other data. An applicant can request aid for several concepts, but in no case can the sum of the aid exceed the maximum individual amount of €2,500 indicated nor the limit of the individual amounts for each concept indicated in the bases. The funded activity must have been carried out between June 6, 2023 and the end date of the application submission period for the 2024 call.
