Official description of the call
First. Beneficiaries Natural persons who meet the following conditions may be beneficiaries of the aid: Be an outstanding or elite athlete and be at least twelve years old during the season expressed in the call. Be in possession of a license issued or approved by the Balearic Federation or by the corresponding Spanish Federation in the sports season indicated in the call. Have carried out the activity that is the subject of the subsidy within the sports season specified in the call. Have, at least, one of the following sporting merits: Be part of the Spanish national team. Be selected by one of the different Spanish sports federations of a specific sports modality to represent Spain in an international competition during the current season. Be classified among the top eight in the official Spanish championships/cups of a specific sporting modality during the sporting season referred to in the call. Be classified among the top twelve in the official European championships/cups of a specific sport during the season referred to in the call. Be classified among the top sixteen in the official world championships/cups of a specific sporting modality during the sporting season referred to in the call. Be ranked among the top three in the biennial IIGA Games in a specific sport category. Having been, in the national, European or world ranking drawn up at the end of the call season, among the top eight, twelve or sixteen, respectively. In any case, the following cannot be beneficiaries: Athletes who receive a serious or very serious sports disciplinary sanction; administrative sanction in sports matters of a serious or very serious nature, or criminal sanction. Athletes considered professionals. Second. Purpose The purpose of the call is to support Menorcan athletes who are residents of Menorca and who have stood out during the season referred to in the call in individual sports, as well as athletes who study in sports training centers and who live outside the island, and to promote the role of women in the sporting world. Third. Regulatory bases The call will be regulated with the regulatory bases approved by the Executive Council of the Island Council of Menorca, in an ordinary session on October 23, 2023, published in BOIB no. 156, of November 16, 2023. Fourth. Amount The maximum global amount of the call is €80,000 (eighty thousand euros). Fifth. Deadline for submitting applications The deadline for submitting applications will be from the day following the publication of the call in the BOIB until July 31, 2024. Sixth. Other information The maximum amount that an athlete can receive is 3,500 euros.
