Extract from the Agreement of the Research Commission of the University of Alcalá of June 17, 2024, by which the Grants are called for the maintenance and improvement of the Editorial Quality of Scientific Journals 2024 BDNS: 770098 In accordance with the provisions of articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General of Subsidies, the extract of the call is published, the full text of which can be consulted in the National Subsidies Database (http://www.pap.minhap.gob.es/bdnstrans/index): First. Beneficiaries: Teaching and Research Staff or UAH Research Staff with permanent affiliation in an active service administrative situation. Second. Object. The purpose of this call is to grant aid for: Contribution to maintenance and improvement of the editorial quality of UAH scientific journals. The creation of new scientific journals that present a project adapted to the editorial quality criteria. The promotion of scientific journals in electronic format that comply with recognized quality criteria, such as those of the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology. Third. Regulatory bases. Regulatory Bases Framework for the granting of scholarships and research aid by the University of Alcalá (https://www.uah.es/export/sites/uah/es/investigacion/.galleries/Investigacion/Bases_Reguladoras_Becas_Ayudas_Investigacion_UAH.pdf) Fourth. Amount. The financing of this call will correspond to the UAH with a contribution of 12,000 euros, which will correspond to the budget application 30400M000 541A 64906. Fifth. Deadline and submission of applications. The deadline for submitting applications will remain open from the day following the publication of the call on the research website until July 5, 2024, both inclusive. Sixth. Other data. To apply for this call, applicants must meet the following requirements: Hold the status of Teaching and Research Staff or Research Staff of the UAH with permanent affiliation. Be in an active service administrative situation. Meet the status of members of the management team of a magazine or be part of its editorial board. Seventh. Awards and selection criteria Applications will be evaluated by the competitive bidding procedure by an Assessment Commission formed by the members of the Publications Advisory Council of the Universidad de Alcalá Publishing House. Applications will be evaluated according to the following criteria: Improvement of the scientific quality of publications. Visibility and positioning of the requesting journals in information systems, reference databases and impact rankings, such as Scopus, FECYT, Latindex, CIRC, DOAJ, Dialnet, DICE, EIRH-plus, EBSCO or MIAR.
