Official description of the call
First. Beneficiaries Natural or legal persons or groups of natural or legal persons, communities of property or any other type of economic unit or separate property without legal personality may be beneficiaries, provided that one of the following conditions is met: Having been a member of an intermediation program between owners and tenants of the CIM from November 3, 2023 to November 2, 2024 and having maintained the conditions established in the contract during this period. Be owners of one or more homes intended for long-term rental at an affordable price, according to the seventeenth base that determines the items of the Affordable Rental Calculator (https://goo.su/6UCtnD), during the period from November 3, 2023 to November 2, 2024. The owner of a home is understood to be those who hold a real right over it that entitles them to rent it as a landlord (under a ownership, rental, usufruct or any other right that entitles them to assign use). Second. Purpose The purpose of these bases is to establish and regulate the financial aid of the Menorcan Island Council aimed, on the one hand, at property owners who have rented their property at an affordable and long-term price within CIM intermediation programs between owners and tenants, and on the other hand, at those owners who have rented their property throughout the year at an affordable price according to the criteria established by the Affordable Rental Calculator. These financial aid are aimed at families and the most vulnerable groups, to guarantee the right to housing. Third. Regulatory bases The call will be governed by the regulatory bases approved by the Executive Council of the Island Council of Menorca, in an extraordinary session on December 20, 2024. Fourth. Amount The maximum global amount of the call is €100,000 (one hundred thousand euros), broken down as follows: Line 1 Comprehensive improvement of properties adhered to intermediation programs between owners and tenants of the CIM. €84,000 Line 2 Long-term rented properties at an affordable price: habitability, energy efficiency certificate and home insurance. €16,000 Fifth. Application submission period The application submission period will begin the day after this call has been published in the Official Gazette of the Balearic Islands (BOIB) and will end on February 28, 2025. Sixth. Other information Beneficiaries who have more than one home will have to submit an application for each property subject to subsidy. The maximum amount that may be granted per request will be 4,850.24 euros for the first line. Likewise, for second line applicants, the amount may not exceed 850.24 euros. The eligible period is from November 3, 2023 to November 2, 2024.
