Subsidies to town councils in the province of Palencia for carrying out cultural activities

First.-Beneficiaries Town councils of municipalities in the province of Palencia with a population of less than 20,000 inhabitants, that do not receive aid through agreements with this Provincial Council for any cultural activity that exceeds €2,000, in the case of town councils with more than 300 inhabitants, and €1,000, in the case of town councils with less than 300 inhabitants. Second.- Purpose Carrying out cultural programming activities from October 19, 2024 to October 18, 2025, the activity for which the subsidy is requested must have already been carried out. Third.- Eligible actions a) Activities to promote and disseminate classical music, performing arts, cinema or artistic or literary creation. b) Programs and activities aimed at the dissemination of Cultural Heritage. c) Edition of the propaganda of the activities to be carried out. d) Edition of municipal magazines of cultural interest. All types of parades held during the Christmas, Carnival or Easter Holidays, nor those related to sports, native games, the environment or social-health issues, will not be considered eligible activities. Cultural activities consisting of trips, excursions and all types of meals are excluded. Fourth.- Valuation and amount of the subsidy The total amount of the subsidies amounts to 115,000 euros, which will be granted according to the following scale: - Town councils with a population of more than 5,000 inhabitants, up to €6,500. - Town councils with 2,000 to 5,000 inhabitants, up to €4,300. - Town councils with 800 to 2,000 inhabitants, up to €2,200. - Town councils with 300 to 800 inhabitants, up to €1,000. - Town councils with a population of less than 300 inhabitants, up to €500. To the amounts granted in accordance with the previous scales, another will be added depending on the number of neighborhood councils that the requesting town council has, adding, where appropriate, the nucleus itself where the town council has its headquarters: a. Town councils with 2,000 to 5,000 inhabitants: - From 4 to 9 neighborhood councils: €500 - From 10 to 19 neighborhood councils: €1,000 - From 20 or more neighborhood councils: €1,500 b. Town councils with 800 to 2,000 inhabitants: - From 4 to 9 neighborhood councils: €200 - From 10 or more neighborhood councils: €400 c. Town councils with a population of less than 800 inhabitants: - From 4 to 9 neighborhood councils: €150 - From 10 or neighborhood councils: €300 This supplement must be justified with an expense equal to or greater than the amount received that corresponds to the carrying out of cultural activities in one of their neighborhood councils. In no case may the total subsidy awarded to each applicant exceed 75% of the expenditure incurred on the subsidized activity. Fifth.- Deadline for submitting applications The deadline for submitting applications will be from the day following the publication of this call in the Official Gazette of the Province, until October 18, 2025. Sixth.- The annexes and other documentation corresponding to this call will be available to interested parties at the electronic headquarters of the Provincial Council of Palencia https://sede.diputaciondepalencia.es in the section Public information-Subsidies and helps.
