Official description of the call
The Local Government Board, by agreement adopted on December 29, 2025, approved the call for the V edition of the “Back to School with Equality” Contest, aimed at the Early Childhood and Primary Education Centers of the municipality of Lorca, the extract of which is the following: 1.- PURPOSE OF THE CALL. The purpose of the call for this Contest “To school with equality” is to reward the work of raising awareness about equality between women and men. Three prizes will be awarded to three winning educational centers, which will be selected for activities specifically designed to promote equality between men and women through the elimination of gender stereotypes, the visibility of the role of women in society, the identification and elimination of non-inclusive language, the prevention of violence against women, as well as co-education through play and toys or stories, among others, and carried out with the students within the period of the aforementioned contest. The works presented and carried out by the students of the participating educational centers within the deadline established in the “To school with equality” contest may be disseminated by the Women's Department of the Excmo. Lorca City Council, so the participating educational center must have the necessary parental authorizations for the participation of its students. 2.- ACCESS REQUIREMENTS. All pre-school and primary schools in the municipality of Lorca will be able to participate in this “To school with equality” contest. 3.-NATURE OF THE PRIZE ESTABLISHED IN THE COMPETITION. The prizes established in the contest have as their main purpose the promotion of an activity with social purposes. For this reason, its nature is subsidy. In accordance with the provisions of the tenth Additional Provision of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies, educational, cultural or any other nature awards must comply with the content of this law. Likewise, the prizes for the winning projects of this competition are considered subsidy in kind, as stated by the D.A. fifth of the aforementioned Law and art. 3 of Royal Decree 887/2006, of July 21, by which the Regulation of Law 38/2003 General of Subsidies is approved. Therefore, the payment of the subsidy does not imply any financial disbursement in favor of the beneficiary, but rather the delivery of the prizes consisting of the goods described in section 9 of this call. 4.- FINANCING OF THE CONTEST The maximum total amount of the prizes listed in this call amounts to the maximum amount of one thousand two hundred and twenty-seven euros (€1,227.00), and will be charged to the 2026 Municipal Budget, being financed by Funds from the State Pact against Gender Violence. Said maximum amount will be estimated, so the granting of the prizes is conditional on the existence of adequate and sufficient credit at the time of the resolution of the concession, all in accordance with the provisions of article 56.2 of the R.D. 887/2006, of July 21, which approves the Regulation of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies. 5.-PLACE AND DEADLINE FOR PRESENTATION OF WORK. To participate in the contest, the interested educational centers will present the Application for Participation, the Responsible Declaration and the Explanatory Report of the activities carried out (Annexes I, II, and III respectively, of these bases) electronically, through the Electronic Headquarters of the Lorca City Council (www.lorca.es), requiring a digital certificate, thus obtaining a registration code, which must be included in the text of the email that will be sent to alcoleconigualdad@lorca.es. In said email, images in video or photographic format or audios of the activities carried out for participation in this contest will also be sent by electronic means (Google Drive, We Transfer, or others) indicating which activity each document refers to (image, video, photograph, audio, etc.).
