Regulatory bases for the call for subsidies, through the competitive competition regime, intended for startups in the seed phase within the framework of the València innovation capital strategy

Official description of the call

The purpose of this call is to support, encourage and enhance the development of startups in their initial stage (Seed phase), facilitating their evolution from the conception of the idea to the consolidation of their business project. These grants are aimed at promoting solutions, products, services and initiatives aligned with the different strategic verticals of València Innovation Capital (detailed in point 10 of the bases), contributing to the innovative and technological dynamism of the city of Valencia as a reference technological hub in Europe. The maximum amount intended to cover this subsidy amounts to €600,000.00 (six hundred thousand euros), charged to the budget application corresponding to the 2025 Action Plan of the CV Foundation for Strategic Promotion, Development and Urban Innovation (hereinafter, the Foundation), within the strategic line “València Innovation Ecosystem” and, specifically, in the “Seed Startup Program” action. Up to 100% of the total duly justified eligible expenses will be subsidized, with a maximum limit of €25,000 per beneficiary entity or person, excluding 6 taxes susceptible to recovery, in accordance with applicable regulations. Startups that meet the definition established in Law 28/2022, of December 21, promoting the ecosystem of emerging companies may be beneficiaries of this aid. For the purposes of this call, the provision of the certificate issued by ENISA will not be required, and the presentation of a responsible declaration, included in the form of this call, in which the requesting entity states that it acts as a startup in accordance with the provisions of said Law, will be sufficient. In case of doubt, the Evaluation Commission may request an opinion from an independent entity of recognized prestige to resolve effective compliance with this criterion. Self-employed people who develop activities of an innovative and/or technological nature may also attend, provided they prove their status as a startup through the existence of an active website with content that demonstrates the development of an innovative product or service or other equivalent documentation. The deadline for submitting applications will be 20 calendar days from the day following the publication of the extract of the call in the Official Gazette of the Province of Valencia (BOP).
