Rules of the 10th National Outdoor Painting Contest “Corners and Landscapes of Cieza in Bloom” 2026

Official description of the call
First. The In the event that weather conditions prevent its celebration, the organization reserves the possibility of moving the date, after notifying all artists. Second. The theme under which the works will participate will be: “Corners and Landscapes of Cieza in Bloom.” The painting will be painted in the place chosen by the author, resulting in disqualification if the painting is not made “in situ”. Each artist will compete with a single work and must be provided with the necessary material to create it. The procedure and techniques will be free. Third. The support of the works must be rigid (canvas, board, etc.) with a minimum of 50 cm and a maximum of 150 cm on either side and will be presented in white for sealing. Room. Registration will take place on March 1 from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at the Padre Salmerón Municipal Library located on the Corner of the Convento. These registrations will be free and must indicate name, address, telephone number and ID, or any other identification document, which may be required from the artist, if necessary. The support will be numbered and sealed by the organization, and work can begin immediately. Fifth- The finished works will be delivered between 5:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. on the same day on the landing of the Padre Salmerón Municipal Library, located on the Corner of the Convent, at which time the completion time will end. The works will be presented unsigned, and the winning painters will be required to sign them when receiving the awards. Sixth- The jury's decision will be announced at 6:30 p.m. and then the awards will be presented. The participating works will be exposed to the public from that moment on. Seventh - Two categories are established - Artists 18 years of age and older will participate in the General Category - Artists who are between 10 and 17 years old will participate in the children's-youth category and will be able to deliver the work from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Eighth- The following prizes are established. General Category Awards: First National Prize for Outdoor Painting “Corners and Landscapes of Cieza 2026”, amount of 1,000 euros donated by Aguas de Cieza Second National Prize for Outdoor Painting “Corners and Landscapes of Cieza 2026”, amount of 700 euros, donated by Estación de Servicio Benedicto. Third National Prize for Outdoor Painting “Corners and Landscapes of Cieza 2026”, amount 500 euros, donated by Farmacia Joaquín Jordan Fourth National Prize for Outdoor Painting “Corners and Landscapes of Cieza 2026”, amount 400 euros, sponsored by the Department of Culture. Special Prize for Local Artist: Prize of 200 Euros, donated by IREL, and invitations to all the theater shows of the season for the Capitol Theater for two people. (Artists aged 18 and over, registered in Cieza, may apply for this award) Award for the children's-youth category: Prize of 100 euros, donated by Farmacia Joaquín Jordán Novena. Prizes in any of the categories may be void. Under no circumstances may prizes be accumulated. Tenth. There will be a jury made up of five members of recognized prestige in the field of plastic arts, whose identity will be announced on the day of the competition. The contest will be coordinated by the Cieza Artists Association. Eleventh. The winning works will become the property of the sponsoring companies, entities and organizations. The editing and reproduction rights will become the property of the Hon. Cieza City Council. Twelfth - the Organization will take care of the conservation of the works, although it will not be responsible for any damage they may suffer during the competition, including the exhibition. Likewise, it reserves the right to take initiatives not regulated by these rules, whenever it considers that they may contribute to the greater success of the contest.
