Participants must comply with the requirements established in these rules. It is not necessary to prove compliance with the requirements established in art. 13 of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies to be eligible for the prize in accordance with the provisions of art. 41.38 of the Budget Execution Bases of the Provincial Council of Jaén. Second.- Object The Institute of Giennenses Studies of the Provincial Council of Jaén organizes and convenes the IV Photography Prize on the Giennenses Landscape aimed at amateurs. Photographic images are a fundamental tool to support the communication and dissemination of social, economic and environmental values. This award aims to contribute to the promotion and dissemination of knowledge of the landscape of the province of Jaén through the use of digital media, enhance creativity and research work on the province of Jaén, support the activity of people who are fond of photography as an instrument of culture and science as well as encourage participation in this practice as it is a means of artistic expression, communication and information about the province of Jaén. Third.- Regulatory Bases Bases for Execution of the Budget of the Provincial Council of Jaén and its Autonomous Bodies for the year 2026 (BOP number 248 of 12/30/2025). Fourth.- Characteristics of the photographs Participants may submit a maximum of 3 photographs. They must be original and after the year 2024, unpublished and authored by the person presenting it. Digital editing is allowed in terms of luminosity, contrast, saturation, shadow and light adjustments, with the exception of the manipulation, elimination or addition of elements in the image itself. Only photographs in jpg or tiff format with a weight not exceeding 10 MB per photograph will be accepted. Photographs must be taken within the province of Jaén in accordance with the purpose of this award. To do this, the author must indicate the location (GPS coordinates or kilometer point) and town where the images were taken. Photographs will not be presented with watermarks or signed. The technique will be in color or black and white. Previously awarded photographs in other contests or prizes will not be admitted. Fifth.- Amount The Jury will select a work that will be awarded with a financial prize of €2,000. Tax withholding will be applied to the prize and the corresponding taxes will be applied according to the legislation in force at that time. The award will be financed from budget application 2026.160.3340.48102 of the Budget of the Institute of Giennenses Studies of the Provincial Council of Jaén. The financial amount of this prize is compatible with any other subsidies, aid, income or resources from any public administrations or entities, public or private, national, from the European Union or from international organizations that may be granted to the beneficiary after the granting of this prize. Sixth.- Deadline for submitting applications and documentation The deadline for submitting applications will begin the day after the publication of the call in the Official Gazette of the Province, ending on September 4, 2026. Participants must present the following documentation: a) Annex I b) Photocopy of the DNI (in force). c) Annex II in the event that the images appear to be minors. d) The photographic work submitted to the contest. e) Technical sheet of the photographic work: title, description of the image, date and place where it was taken (GPS coordinates or kilometer point).
