The 54th “Villa de Fuente Álamo de Murcia” International Painting Competition is being called for the year 2026 in the form of concession under a competitive competition regime, with the aim of promoting, rewarding and disseminating contemporary pictorial creation. All artists of legal age of any nationality may attend this call. Second. – Characteristics of the works. - Each artist may only compete with a single work, which has not been awarded in any other competition, nor be presented in another art or similar competition at the time that the 54th edition of the Villa de Fuente Álamo de Murcia International Competition is taking place, being accredited by sworn declaration. - The theme and technique will be of free choice, specifying ALL the materials used in it. - The measurements of the works may not exceed 200 cm on the longest side or be less than 100 cm on the shortest side. If any of the works are composed of different parts (diptychs, triptychs, etc.), all of them will be counted for the purposes of maximum dimensions. - The works will be presented unframed, mounted on a frame or protected with a wooden strip. Works with special features must be accompanied by assembly instructions. Third. -Deadline for submitting applications. The application submission period will begin on March 20, 2026 and will end on May 24, 2026. Fourth.- Awards. The following prizes will be awarded: PRIZE: “Villa de Fuente Álamo de Murcia Award”, awarded by the Fuente Álamo de Murcia City Council with an amount of €10,000 PRIZE: “Círculo Medina Award”, awarded by the Fuente Álamo de Murcia City Council with an amount of €6,000
