Official description of the call

In accordance with the provisions of articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies, the extract of the call is published, the full text of which can be consulted in the National Subsidies Database (http://www.pap.minhap.gob.es/bdnstrans /index): First. Participants. Any university student or graduate, with nationality of a member country of the European Union, with a degree awarded by a Spanish university, under 30 years of age at the end of the deadline for submitting applications for participation, can apply for the award. Second. Object. The purpose of the open call is to regulate the granting, on a competitive basis, of the María La Jabalina Prize for research work on democratic memory in order to promote the scientific knowledge essential for the development of democratic memory, as provided by Law 20/2022, of October 19, on Democratic Memory. Third. Theme and requirements. The research work must deal, in whole or in part, with the historical period between the proclamation of the Second Spanish Republic in 1931 and the celebration of the 1982 General Elections in Spain. The works must be original and respect the scientific method. No literary or fictional works about the mentioned period will be admitted. The works must be unpublished and specific for this call. Content that has been previously edited, exhibited, published or awarded will not be admitted, as it is a specific production, nor will content that makes use of Artificial Intelligence. Work linked to obtaining a graduate or doctorate degree will be admitted. Room. Regulatory bases. General Ordinance on Subsidies of the Provincial Council of Valencia, approved by Plenary Agreement in a session of March 28, 2023, published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Valencia, number 107, of June 5, 2023. The Decree that establishes the bases of the call will be attached in its entirety as an attached document in the award application process published in the Electronic Office. Fifth. Prize. The Democratic Memory delegation allocates a maximum budget of 6,000 euros to this award. Sixth. Application Those interested must complete the appropriate application in the specific procedure that will be opened at the Electronic Headquarters of the Provincial Council of Valencia. They must submit the research work and the required documentation through electronic processing with the corresponding certificate and digital signature. Non-residents in Spanish territory can manage their electronic certificate issued by the FNMT (http://www.fnmt.es/en/ceres) through the Spanish Consular Offices abroad. Seventh. Documentation to present. 1. Research paper written in Valencian or Spanish, with a maximum length of 300 pages, in Times New Roman font, 12-point font and with 1.5 line spacing, and on consecutively numbered pages. 2. Complementary documentation. The documents that must accompany the application and without which it will not be accepted are: a) A resume; b) Academic and professional accreditations indicated in point 2 of the call's rules: - Certificate of enrollment or degree granted at a Spanish University - DNI or equivalent document to prove that you are under 30 years of age. c) Certificates of being up to date with the Tax Agency and Social Security (AEAT and TGSS); d) Responsible declaration of not being subject to any of the circumstances provided for in article 13 of the General Subsidy Law. Eighth. Presentation deadline. The deadline for submitting applications will be from the day following the publication of this extract in the BOP until September 15, 2026.
