Official description of the call
First. Beneficiaries. This call is aimed at researchers with a doctorate degree linked to universities and research organizations in the Region of Murcia, and provides for two modalities: Modality A. Senior researchers: researchers with a doctorate degree obtained before January 1, 2016. Modality B. Junior researchers: researchers with a doctorate degree obtained between January 1, 2016 and December 31, 2024. In both modalities, applicants must find themselves participating in a research project financed under competitive programs by organizations or entities other than the one to which they are affiliated. Second. Object and purposes. These grants are intended to promote scientific activity and collaboration, the development of the research career and the internationalization of the science and technology system of the Region of Murcia by financing stays of researchers with accredited experience, linked to universities and research organizations of the Region of Murcia, in foreign research centers of recognized prestige. The stays will be aimed at the development of an activity program that involves the acquisition and/or updating of knowledge, research methods and techniques and high-level scientific exchange and collaboration in any area of knowledge. Among the purposes of this aid are the following: Update knowledge or learn new techniques and methods for research; Acquire international experience in a different academic and research environment and learn about new teams, centers and national research systems, incorporating them into the applicant's own experience; Generate lasting links with the receiving teams and centers useful for the consolidation of the applicant's research career, facilitating their insertion into highly specialized and competitive international knowledge networks and communities. Third. Regulatory bases. Order of April 6, 2018 (BORM no. 82 of 4/11/2018), modified by orders of May 13, 2019 (BORM no. 110 of 5/15/2019) and June 17, 2022 (BORM no. 142 of 6/22/2022). Room. Amount. The aid granted to each beneficiary includes the following benefits: A monthly allowance of €2,250 gross, or the proportional part for the corresponding days if in the beginning and ending month they do not stay at the receiving center for the entire month. The aid will be incompatible with the receipt during the stay of any other subsidy, subsidy or contract financed with public or private Spanish, Community or foreign funds with the same purpose as the subsidy granted; Travel expenses to the destination center, under the terms and with the limits described in section six of the call; Accident insurance; In European countries where health care is covered by Social Security, beneficiaries will have to apply for and obtain a European health card. When the beneficiaries belong to the General Social Security Regime and the country of destination is not from the European Union, the European Economic Area or Switzerland, they will have the right to health care insurance. Said insurance will be contracted by the Seneca Foundation once the beneficiary notifies the date of the outbound trip. When the beneficiaries belong to MUFACE, they will enjoy health care abroad under the terms established and covered by their mutual insurance company. Fifth. Application submission deadline. The deadline for submitting applications to this call will be open until 2:00 p.m. on June 16, 2026. Sixth. Duration and conditions of stay. The stay will have a minimum duration of three months and a maximum of nine. It must be carried out within the period between June 1, 2026 and September 30, 2027. It must be carried out in a foreign university or research center, of recognized academic and research prestige in the scientific field of the activity to be carried out by the applicant, with full submission to its operating rules. The purpose of the stay will be to carry out original research work that helps to consolidate, promote and internationalize the beneficiary's lines of research, and of the same.
