Extract from the Agreement of the Research Commission of the University of Alcalá of June 24, 2026, by which the “Doctora de Alcalá” Research Awards for Research Excellence 2026 are announced BDNS: 916159 In accordance with the provisions of articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General of Subsidies, the extract of the call is published, the full text of which can be consulted in the National Subsidies Database (http://www.pap.minhap.gob.es/bdnstrans/index): First. Beneficiaries Female researchers who present a doctoral degree, who are in active service and are assigned to research centers and/or companies, public or private, that have their headquarters in Spain, and whose purpose is related to R&D&I may apply. Second. Purpose The purpose of these awards is to encourage and recognize excellent research among women, giving visibility to the work developed by this group at the national level in two modalities: Category “Doctora de Alcalá” Award for young researchers, with two modalities: Modality: “Doctora de Alcalá” Award for young researchers in Experimental Sciences. Modality: “Doctora de Alcalá” Award for young researchers in Human and Social Sciences. Category “Doctora de Alcalá” Award for research excellence, with two modalities: Modality: “Doctora de Alcalá” Award for research excellence in Experimental Sciences. Modality: “Doctora de Alcalá” Award for research excellence in Human and Social Sciences. Third. Amount “Doctora de Alcalá” Award for young researchers in Experimental Sciences. Endowment of 5,000 euros. “Doctora de Alcalá” Award for young researchers in Human and Social Sciences. Endowment of 5,000 euros. “Doctora de Alcalá” Award for research excellence in Experimental Sciences. Endowment of 20,000 euros. “Doctora de Alcalá” Award for research excellence in Human and Social Sciences. Endowment of 20,000 euros. The total amount of the call is 50,000 euros and will be financed from budget application 30400M000 541A 64524 through the finalist contribution provided by the company CANTABRIA LABS in its capacity as sponsor of the award. Fifth. Deadline and submission of applications The deadline for submitting applications will remain open from the day of publication of the call until July 26, 2026, both included. Applications will be submitted through the 'Calls' option available on the Researcher's Portal. Sixth. Awards and selection criteria The candidatures will be evaluated by a Jury made up of the following members: A presidency, held by the Rector of the UAH or staff to whom he delegates. Three researchers of recognized prestige belonging to the branch of Experimental Sciences appointed by the UAH Research Commission. Three researchers of recognized prestige belonging to the branch of Human and Social Sciences appointed by the UAH Research Commission. Three representatives of the sponsor of this call for awards who will be designated by the sponsor itself. A technical secretary appointed by the UAH Research Commission, who will act with voice and without vote. The candidatures will be evaluated according to the following criteria: Up to 6 points will be awarded, in the opinion of the jury, based on the scientific merits indicated in point 6.2 of the call.
