Official description of the call
First. - Beneficiaries 1. Comparsas: a minimum of 35 people dressed together are required up to an indefinite maximum. 2. Groups: a minimum of 15 people dressed together are required up to a maximum of 34 people. Both the two modalities will compete together in the different award categories. Participation is limited to 12 groups and 3 registered groups, with preference always given to those residing in Tui. Second. - Purpose of the Parade Call – Comparsas & Groups Contest, which will be held within the activities of Carnival 2026 in the city of Tui, on Tuesday, February 17, a local holiday, at 5:00 p.m.; with the purpose of rewarding the effort, work and animation carried out by the troupes and groups in the Parade. Third. - Regulatory bases. These Bases will come into force the day after their publication in the BOPPO (Official Gazette of the Province of Pontevedra), once registered in the National Subsidies Database. They will be available to interested parties, along with the registration forms, on the website www.tui.gal, on the information board and in the Department of Culture of the Excmo. Tui City Council. Likewise, they will be broadcast on the Municipal Radio of Tui and on municipal social networks, as well as in other media. Room. - Amount. Awards. In the 2026 Carnival Parade-Contest, €5,550 will be awarded in 12 prizes in five categories, these being the following: 1st. General Category: Up to 4 participants may be awarded in this category. 2nd. Float Category: Up to 4 participants may be awarded in this category. 3rd. Parody Category: Up to 2 participants may be awarded in this category. 4th. Choreography Category: 1 participant in this category may be awarded. 5th. Music Category: 1 participant in this category may be awarded. The prizes are subject to the corresponding income tax withholding. 12 trophies valued at €300 will also be distributed. General Carriage Parody Choreography Music 1st €800 €650 €500 €350 €350 2nd €650 €500 €350 3rd €500 €350 4th €350 €200 Fifth. - Deadline for submitting applications and documentation Registration will take place within three business days following the date of publication of these Rules in the BOPPO, and until 2:00 p.m. on the last day, through the electronic headquarters of the Tui City Council at concellotui.sedelectronica.gal In the case of legal entities, and in accordance with that contained in article 14.2.la) of Law 39/2015, of the October 1, of the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations, the presentation and processing of applications will be done exclusively by electronic means through the electronic headquarters of the Tui City Council. The groups that have their registered office in Tui will have priority in registration, as long as they do so within the established period. At the time of formalizing the registration (according to the attached annex), the presentation of the following documentation is mandatory: Copy of the NIF of the participating association. Copy of the DNI of the president of the association Civil liability insurance policy of the association. Proof of payment of liability insurance Registration in the Parade-Contest implies the acceptance of the participating entity to attend the Burial of the Cod, with a minimum of 33% of the total members of the troupe or group that participated in the Parade, on Sunday, February 22, starting at 7:30 p.m. To collect the prizes, the participating entities will present the following documentation: 1. Certifications accrediting that they are up to date with the tax provisions (AEAT and ATRIGA), to the City Council of Tui, and with the Social Security, or authorization from the City Council for verification, in the annex - participation request model 2. Responsible declaration of not being subject to a hiring prohibition, according to a standardized form. 3. Declaration responsible for VAT exemption, if applicable, according to a standardized form. 4. Client account code certificate of the registered association.
