In accordance with the provisions of articles 17.3 and 20.8 of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies, the extract of the call is published, the full text of which can be consulted in the National Subsidies Database (http://www.pap.minhap.gob.es/bdnstrans/index): First.- Object and Purpose This call for subsidies, made by the department of the area of Government of Employment, Heritage, Technology and relations with companies, Tourism and Youth of the Vigo City Council - which is integrated into line 4.10. Activities to defend commercial, industrial, professional and economic interests of the Strategic Subsidy Plan (PES) approved by the Local Government Xunta in its ordinary session of 03/08/2024 - aims to grant, on a competitive basis, aid aimed at financing industrial and commercial fairs and festivals or any other of the same or similar nature that promotes business development, for the benefit of the general interest and collaborates in greater social well-being that They will be held between October 16, 2025 and October 15, 2026. The purpose and objective that the call is intended to achieve is the promotion of employment through the holding of sectoral fairs, of an international, state and regional nature that promote the development of a series of actions to boost employment among the citizens of Vigo, which benefit the city in general and unemployed people in particular. Therefore, the purpose or objective that is intended to be achieved with the call is the promotion of employment through the celebration of industrial and commercial fairs and festivals, and in particular: ? Promotion of industries and professionals in strategic sectors of the city. ? Promotion in public opinion of the social and economic importance of these industrial, technological and commercial sectors, and the potential as an international commercial hub. ? Strategic positioning as economic and industrial poles to compete in a global market. ? Consolidation and promotion of employment derived from the organization of fairs and festivals in the industrial, technological and commercial sectors. Strengthening the capacity of the industrial, technological and commercial sector in our environment and the tourist values of Vigo, taking into account the opportunities that are developed within the scope of these events that turn our city into a great showcase, as well as business consolidation in the scope of the fair or festival. Second. Beneficiaries. In general, non-profit entities that are registered in the Municipal Registry of Associations (RMA), foundations and institutions of public law and entities of private law (companies or societies in the sector of fairs, congresses and conventions with sufficient structure and capacity to guarantee compliance with the objectives of the fair project presented) and whose scope of action is the municipal area of Vigo may access the status of beneficiaries of the subsidies regulated in these bases. Third. Regulatory bases. Regulatory bases approved by the Local Government Xunta of the Vigo City Council on 05/04/2026 and published at http://sede.vigo.org/expedientes/avisos/index.jsp?ide=0&lang=es. Room. Amount of aid. 1. The total amount allocated to these subsidies for the budget year (2026) of the Vigo City Council is 205,000.00?
