Purpose of the aid. This contest is about paying tribute to the figure of our illustrious painter -Alfonso Parras-, coinciding this year with the anniversary of the 222nd anniversary of the naming of Torredelcampo as a Villa. The purpose of this contest is to recognize the merit of pictorial creation by distinguishing unpublished works by authors born or residing in the European Union, favoring, helping and promoting the work of the active plastic artists.Participants.Artists of Spanish nationality and foreigners, residents in Spain, being in possession of NIF/NIE, over 18 years of age, may participate. In view of the nature of the prize, to qualify for it it is not necessary to prove compliance with the requirements of article 13 of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies. The works presented must be free of rights that may be held by third parties, with the Torredelcampo City Council considered exempt from all liability in the event of litigation or discussion that may arise from non-compliance with this condition. Theme and technique: The theme of the works to be carried out will be related to the landscapes, life, customs, spaces, monumental heritage and, in general, with any aspect of special relevance of the municipality of Torredelcampo and its surroundings in an identifiable way, being able to choose the modality, technique or plastic procedure for the execution of their works according to the bases. Registration and information: The deadline to submit the registration will be counted (Annex I) from the day following the publication of the extract of the rules of the call in the Official Gazette of the Province of Jaén, and will end on August 31, 2026. Date of the contest. The contest will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2026 if the weather does not prevent it, between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., otherwise the organization undertakes to offer facilities where artists can work if they wish.
